What Causes Snoring?

Snoring happens when airflow is partially blocked as it moves through the back of your throat while you sleep. As air squeezes past soft tissues—like your soft palate, uvula, or tongue base—those tissues vibrate, creating the familiar snoring sound.

  • Soft Palate or Uvula Vibrations (primary target for coblation)

  • Nasal Obstruction (from allergies, deviated septum, or enlarged turbinates)

  • Tongue Position (especially when sleeping on your back)

  • Excess Weight (extra tissue around the neck and throat)

  • Aging (muscle tone in the throat weakens over time)

  • Alcohol or Sedative Use (relaxes throat muscles)

Your Body Shouldn’t Be the Thing Stealing Its Own Rest.

How much longer will you waste your time, money, and energy on half-measures that don't fix the real problem?

Machines that make you feel claustrophobic
Anti-snore pillows that never deliver
Nasal strips and sprays that do nothing for your throat

Temporary fixes won't bring permanent snoring relief.

Soft palate coblation is a minimally invasive procedure that reduces snoring by gently stiffening the soft tissues at the back of your throat—the soft palate and uvula—which vibrate and collapse during sleep.

The treatment takes under 30 minutes in the office, with no implants, no cutting, and minimal downtime. Most patients are back to their routine the same day, with results building gradually over 6-8 weeks.

Will Coblation work for me?

If your snoring is caused by a loose soft palate (the most common cause), coblation targets the source. While no treatment is guaranteed, studies show most patients experience significant snoring reduction—improving sleep for both themselves and their partners.

Does Insurance Cover Coblation?

Because coblation for snoring is often considered an elective procedure, insurance typically does not cover it. However, flexible payment options are available as well as other procedure options we can explore.
