What Causes Deviated Septum?

A deviated septum occurs when the thin wall of cartilage and bone that separates your nostrils is off-center or crooked, partially or completely blocking airflow through one or both nostrils. Some people are born with a deviated septum, while others develop one due to trauma, such as a broken nose from sports, accidents, or falls. Over time, the septum can also shift due to aging or natural developmental changes, making breathing increasingly difficult.

What is a Septoplasty Procedure?

A septoplasty is a surgical procedure that straightens a deviated nasal septum to improve airflow and relieve chronic nasal obstruction.

Your septoplasty will be done in as little as 30-60 minutes, and you'll be breathing freely within 1-2 days.

While we can't speak to your individual circumstances or nasal issues, we can share that a recent multi-center real-world study of 378 Septoplasty cases found that nasal obstruction symptoms were improved in over 90% of patients.

Will Septoplasty work for me?

Does Insurance Cover Septoplasty?

We do accept insurance as payment for Septoplasty, and we accept most insurances (excluding Medicaid). All visits and procedures are authorized in advance so there are no surprises.

What Causes Enlarged Turbinates?

Enlarged turbinates, or inferior turbinate hypertrophy, occur when the structures inside your nose that filter and humidify air become swollen, restricting airflow. Common causes include chronic allergies, sinus infections, and irritants like dust, smoke, or pollution. Hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy or puberty, can also contribute. Overuse of nasal sprays like Afrin may cause rebound swelling, worsening congestion. If left untreated, enlarged turbinates can lead to chronic nasal blockage, snoring, and sleep disturbances.

What is a Turbinate Reduction Procedure?

A turbinate reduction procedure reduces the size of swollen turbinates to improve airflow and relieve chronic nasal congestion.

Your turbinate reduction will be done in as little as 30-60 minutes, and you'll be breathing freely within 1-2 days.

Will Turbinate Reduction work for me?

While we can't speak to your individual circumstances or nasal issues, we can share that a recent multi-center real-world study of 1,411 turbinate reduction cases found that symptoms were improved in over 85% of patients.

Does Insurance Cover Turbinate Reduction?

We do accept insurance as payment for Turbinate Reduction, and we accept most insurances (excluding Medicaid). All visits and procedures are authorized in advance so there are no surprises.
